What can I do on the platform?
- Clarify small doubts to the patients
- Diagnose and treat common medical problems (e.g. urinary infections, tonsillitis, flu symptoms, back pain, etc…)
- Send attachments with drug prescriptions
- Send medical reports
- Send attachments with medical exam prescription
- Forward the patient to a face-to-face consultation
- Post-treatment and post-op follow-up
- Follow-up and monitor patients with chronic diseases
How does it work?
- A patient opens the app, chooses a doctor from our list and sends them a message explaining their symptoms
- The doctor receives a notification and accepts or declines the request
- When the doctor accepts the case, the patient then provides their payment details in order to unlock the chat
- Then the appointment starts
- When the doctor decides the appointment is over, they close the case and charge the patient the price they think it’s fair not exceeding the maximum value previously established .
Is there an app for me to download?
You don’t need to. You can run and manage everything through our PWA (Progressive web app). If you want to save our icon as an app on your smartphone homescreen you can do it quickly and in simple steps. Here’s a guide on how to do it: www.healphant.com/tutorials
How do I share my healphant contact?
You will have a personal link to share with your patients so that they can quickly find you on the platform. You can do this by following these steps: login > click on “share link” > insert the patient’s email and press send. You can also copy the link to clipboard so you can publish it on your pages.
Will anyone be able to see my private information?
Private information will not be shown to other users. Only healphant has access to that information for communication purposes and identity validation.
How will I receive notifications?
At the moment notifications are only available on Android, however we are working to have them in IOS.
To receive notifications, you must click on the button “allow” on the pop-up that will appear in the conversation with your doctor. If you choose to block notifications, please note that next time you will have to clear your browser history in order to give permission again. Regardless of your operating system, healphant will also notify you by email.
How will I charge the patient?
When you register you’ll need to define the value that you will charge for a consultation – this is the maximum amount you will be able to charge. Because these are supposed to be quick and simple consultations we block the maximum consultation price at €30. You can change this value on your profile. If you decide to change it while having some ongoing cases, this change will only apply to the new ones. If you want to lower the price at the end of the consultation you may lower it using the minus button. You can also choose to make the appointment free, but we would like you to value your time and knowledge.
Will I have to pay any fee?
For each appointment under 16 euros, healphant will charge you a 2,5 € service fee; for those over 16€, we will charge a 16% service fee. If you choose to make the appointment free we will not charge any fees.
Are there any timelines?
After you receive a new request from a patient you will have 4 days (96h) to answer, after that the request will be automatically cancelled. Please bear in mind that your availability is much appreciated not only by your patients but also by the healphant team.
A case remains open for a maximum of 5 days after you accept it. After that, we will automatically close the case and the patient will be charged the maximum amount that you have stipulated, so it is very important that you control the follow-up time, and close it before the time expires.
How will I get paid?
Your income will be registered in the ‘My Wallet’ page. When you wish to withdraw this amount you must upload the invoice with the amount accumulated at the time. Payment of the invoice will be processed no later than 60 days after receipt of the invoice.
Please note, you can only invoice once a month, amounts above 200 euros. If you have not reached this amount, you will have to wait for the following month to invoice it.
If you are using the app through a specific entity payments will be of their responsibility.
How much can I earn?
While it depends on the specialty, doctors might have an average of 10 informal interactions per week. If we assume that you will charge around 15€ per interaction you can earn around €6500 per year. To give you another perspective: this can pay for your family vacations or your kids’ education.
What if I have a bad experience with a patient?
If any patient is abusive, please report it to firstname.lastname@example.org. We want to make this a safe experience for everyone. Count on us for that.
How can I close my account if I don’t want to use it anymore?
If for some reason you decide that you don’t want to have a healphant account anymore please send us an email to email@example.com saying you want to close the account and we will delete all your information from our database.
Now that we’ve cleared out the main issues, you’re ready to start using the app!
But before you go ahead with anything else, if you didn’t fill all the fields related to your professional information at the point of registration we ask you to go to your profile page to complete them and add a profile picture. This is a really important step for patients to know you and your work.
